Getting2KnowU: Kyle Jackson Reveals Most Challenging Part About Working in Advertising
The people that power WHOSAY, a Viacom company, are a blend of advertising, technology and media professionals who foster a spirit of creativity, commitment, innovation, and teamwork. And today, you will get to know another one of our outstanding WHOSAYers:
Name: Kyle Jackson
Hometown: Eugene, Oregon
School: Willamette University
Role at WHOSAY: Sr. Director of Creative Services
Prior role: UM Studios, Coca-Cola Account
Dream creator(s) to work with: Probably David LaChapelle—I came across his art when I was in high school and it opened my eyes to how just how culturally impactful “celebrity” + “art” could be. On a very subconscious level, it probably planted a seed that led me here. Working with him would be one of those “full circle” moments.
Favorite thing about advertising: The opportunity to make micro changes on a macro level, even if it’s simple as making people smile, laugh, or think about something just a little bit differently.
Most challenging aspect of the industry: You hear the word “no” a lot
Secret life hack: Obaji-C Skin Brightening Serum #ad
Interesting fact about yourself: I learned how to drive a tractor when I was 8.
Best advice you’ve ever received: Seek first to understand, then to be understood.
