Top 10 New Reality TV Influencers Reach Close to 20 Million Rabid Fans

Fans of the top 10 up-and-coming reality television influencers follow their idols mostly on Instagram, according to a new WHOSAY Match Hot Talent List

The curated WHOSAY Match list revealed that the top 10 new reality television influencers reach a total of 19.2 million fans on social media—9.2 million of them on Instagram, 6.2 million on Facebook, 1.2 million on YouTube and 720 thousand on Twitter.

Out of these, those ages 18-24 are the largest group (42%) followed by fans ages 25-34 (30%). Seventeen-percent is 18-years-old, 8% ages 35-44 and 3% are 45-years-old or older. Sixty-one percent of those following the top 10 new reality television influencers are female-identified. Thirty-eight percent are male-identified.  

The report also details WHOSAY Match’s AI-powered values and personality traits, with followers of these influencers mostly reflecting “self-enhancement” and “self-transcendence” as values and “openness,” “extraversion” and “agreeableness” as personality traits.  

Regionally, followers of these reality TV influencers are concentrated in California, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan. To a less degree, they can also be found in Texas, Illinois, North Carolina and Massachusetts. Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and Minnesota were the states with less concentration of fans of the top 10 reality TV influencers.

1. Mimi Faust:

Mimi Faust is a reality television personality and businesswoman who stars on the VH1 program Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. She has 4.4M fans, 2.1M on Instagram, 1.4M on Facebook and 945K on Twitter ages 18-24 (46%), 25-34 (26%) and 18 (22%). Eighty-percent of Mimi’s fans are female-identified and 20% male-identified. Her fans reflect “self-transcendence” and “agreeableness” as values and personality traits respectively. Most of her fans are located in California, Nevada, Texas, New York and Florida.

2. RuPaul:

RuPaul Andre Charles, known professionally by his mononym RuPaul, is an actor, drag queen, model, author, television personality, and recording artist. Since 2009, he has hosted and produced the drag queen reality show RuPaul's Drag Race, for which he won an Emmy in 2016. He has 4.3 million fans, 1.9M on Instagram, 1.2M on Facebook and 1.2M on Twitter ages 18-24 (47%), 25-34 (28%) and 18 (19%). Sixty-percent of RuPaul’s fans are female-identified and 40% male-identified. Regionally, RuPaul’s fans can be found in California, Texas, New York, Illinois, Georgia and Florida.

3. Lil Scrappy:

Darryl Kevin Richardson, better known by his stage name Lil Scrappy, is a rapper and record producer. Richardson was discovered by producer and performer Lil Jon while performing at a bar his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. He has 3.4M fans, 2.1M on Instagram, 370K on Facebook and 856K on Twitter ages 25-34 (38%), 18-24 (34%) and 18 (15%). Seventy-five percent are female-identified while 15% is male-identified. Regionally, Lil Scrappy’s fans are concentrated in Nevada, California, Texas, Florida, Illinois, New York, Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

4. Asia Monet Ray:

Asia Monet Ray is a dancer. She starred on Dance Moms and Raising Asia. She flaunts 2.2M fans, 1.4M on Instagram, 337K on Facebook, 198K on Twitter and 274K on YouTube ages 18-24 (42%), 18 (32%) and 25-34 (21%). Ninety-percent of Asia’s fans is female-identified while 10% are male-identified. Her fans are mostly concentrated in California, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York and Florida.

5. Rick Harrison's Gold & Silver Pawn:

Richard Kevin "Rick the Spotter" Harrison is a Las Vegas-based businessman and reality television personality, best known as the co-owner of the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, as featured on the History series Pawn Stars. He boasts 1.3M fans, 237K on Instagram, 872K on Facebook and 229K on Twitter. His fans are ages 18-24 (38%), 25-34 (32%) and 18 (14%). Regionally, most of Rick’s fans are in California, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Florida.

6. Parker Schnabel:

Hailing from Haines, Alaska, Parker has grown up with gold fever. Ever since he can remember, Parker’s beloved grandpa, John Schnabel, ran the family gold mine, Big Nugget. Since Parker’s feet could reach the pedals, he’s been operating heavy machinery and learning the trade.

He has 1.2M fans, 192K on Instagram, 819K on Facebook and 197K on Twitter. Thirty-seven percent of Randy’s fans are ages 18-24, 32% ages 25-34 and 15% age 18. Sixty-five percent are male-identified while 35% are female-identified. Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, Texas, Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Carolina are the states with the biggest concentration of Randy’s fans.

8. Arie Luyendyk Jr.:

Arie Luyendyk Jr. is an American auto racing driver and son of two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Arie Luyendyk. He has competed mostly in North America where his father lives and made his career. He has 710K fans, 469K on Instagram, 19K on Facebook and 222K on Twitter. Forty-nine percent of Arie’s fans are ages 18-24, 29% ages 25-34 and 14% age 18. Arie’s followers are concentrated in Washington, California, Utah, Arizona, Texas, New York and Pennsylvania.

9. Thorgy Thor:

Thorgy Thor is the stage name of Shane Galligan, a drag performer from Brooklyn, New York. She is one of 12 contestants to compete in the eighth season of RuPaul's Drag Race. Thorgy is a self-taught performer and never had a drag mother to teach her the tricks of the trade. She says she has always had a clear vision of what she wanted Thorgy to be and still performs numbers she created 10 years ago. She flaunts 576K fans, 441K on Instagram, 41K on Facebook and 94K on Twitter ages 18-24 (50%), 25-34 (26%) and 18 (16%). Most of Thorgy’s fans live in Washington, California, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Georgia and Florida.

10. Kym Herjavec:

Kym Johnson is an actress, known for Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens (2016), Australians Hit Hollywood (2009) and Denise Richards: It's Complicated (2008). She has been married to Robert Herjavec since July 31, 2016. She has 456K fans, 205K on Instagram, 105K on Facebook and 146K on Twitter. Kym’s fans are ages 18-24 (35%), 25-34 (35%) and 45-44 (14%). Ninety-four percent are female-identified and 6% male-identified. Her fans live in New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Washington and California.
