Team WHOSAY, one of the finalists for the 10th Shorty Awards, was named the Audience Honoree for Video Pre-Roll for the campaign it powered for the 2017 MTV VMAs featuring Lil Yachty.
"We aim to stop thumbs and provide a value exchange with a brand's audience, the people, and in this case, for MTV, we’re thrilled to be named an Audience Honor," said Jenna Sereni, VP Marketing & Creative Services.
WHOSAYers Adam Reisenberg, Stephen Glasco, Danielle Hester and Anthony "Hootz" Taylor represented WHOSAY at the Shortys on Sunday. They walked the teal carpet and attended the ceremony at the PlayStation Theater in New York City.
The action kicked off with The Fab Five from Queer Eye who were in charge of hosting the Shortys teal carpet, with influencers such as Lo Bosworth, Spencer Pratt, Laurie Hernandez, This Is Us Actor Logan Shroyer and 'Superbowl Selfie Kid' Ryan McKenna, among others, making their entrances.
Hosted by Keke Palmer, the ceremony heated up inside The Playstation Theater with a performance by Betty Who. Big wins this year include; Cardi B - (Best Music), Rihanna - (Best Celebrity), Ansel Elgort - (Best Actor), Serena Williams - (Best Sport), Spencer Pratt - (Best Snapchatter), Erica Garner - (Best Activism - award accepted by Reggie Harris) and Trevor Noah, who sent a moving video acceptance speech for the The Daily Show win.
We can't wait for next year!
