Fresh off winning big at The Clio Awards, Viacom Velocity celebrated the 2018 Viacom Velocity Awards (VVAs) on Friday, November 30. The VVAs are an annual internal event dedicated to showcasing and celebrating Velocity's best-in-class work and accomplishments from the year.

“This is really a celebration for all of us, Ad Solutions, with some creative representation of what happens when we partner in a big way with advertisers,” Viacom Velocity CMO, Dario Spina, said in New York City.

Different from years prior, Spina explained they decided to turn the event into an immersive experience to “celebrate the incredible creative ad solutions work that we’ve delivered throughout the year on behalf of our marketing partners.”

He then described the thirteen exhibits, including “Bacardi Rescue,” which showcased a pro-social in-show integration with Bar Rescue and Bacardi, and gave guests the opportunity to donate to hurricane relief in Puerto Rico.

Another activation brought to life the Halloween themed episode of Awesomeness’ series, “The Carpe Life” in which a mock version of the Hollister branded crate was onsite.

“Picture the Impossible” was another experience where guests could create a GIF as the star of the Paramount Pictures film “Mission Impossible.”

Additionally, the installation celebrating branded content for the movie “Uncle’s Drew,” which included Basketball Wives talent, let people shoot some hoops- old school style.

In conclusion, Spina commended the group for a great year full of “growth, opportunity, and promise.”
