Yolanthe began pursuing an acting career at age 16, starring in the Dutch School TV series “Chromosomen” along with appearing in several European music videos. As Yolanthe’s talent soared, she was cast in films Snow Fever (2004), Turkish Chick (2006) and Het geheim van Mega Mindy (2009) along with popular Dutch television shows “Costa!” (2005), “Voetbalvrouwen” (2009-2010), “Onderweg Naar Morgen” (2005-2008) and “Flikken Maastricht” (2010), "Van God Los" (2012), " Pain & Gain" (2012), Valentino (2013)
Yolanthe has served as host for several television programs on Dutch networks BNN, Nederland 3 and TROS, successes for which she won the first “Televizier Talent Award” in 2008. She is also one of the long standing jury members for AVRO’s Junior European Song Festival. In 2010 Yolanthe was selected as ambassador for the Italian long distance cycling race, Giro d’Italia. She presented for TROS (2011) "Miss Yolanthe" (a documentary on beauty contests worldwide). In addition to this she presented the program "Yolanthe op 3"where she interviewed celebrities across the globe.
Readers of the men's magazine FHM voted Yolanthe as being the sexiest Dutch woman in 2006, 2007, and 2009. In 2007, Yolanthe won the BNN's award for best actress.
As a devout fashionista, Yolanthe launched her own lingerie, bath and nightwear line called “Yolanthe’s Choice" (2008). Her own jewelry line "YC jewels" and accessories "YC by Yolanthe Cabau" (2013).
As a model she was the muse of John Richmond's fashion show in Milan(2011) and for aDL+Cengiz Abazoglu in Istanbul fashion week (2013)
Along with her entertainment career Yolanthe is dedicated to charity work, which led her to start her own foundation “Free A Girl” in collaboration with Dutch medical aid worker Arjan Erkel.
The foundation aims to rescue children who are subject to abuse and prevent child abuse at large.
