Tom Hiddleston is an English actor who is famous for his roles as Loki in Marvel Studios’ “Thor” and "Avengers", as Captain Nicholls in Steven Spielberg’s 2011 film “War Horse”, and F. Scott Fitzgerald in Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris".
Tom was educated at Pembroke College, Cambridge, and trained the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, gaining recognition for his roles in television movies and series such as “The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby,” “Conspiracy,” and “Miss Austen Regrets.” Tom has also starred in many theatre productions, including “The Changeling" & "Cymbeline" for Cheek By Jowl, and “Othello” & "Ivanov" for the Donmar Warehouse.
Tom appeared as Prince Hal/Henry V in "The Hollow Crown", a television adaptation of Shakespeare's "Henry IV, Parts I & II," and "Henry V".
Tom is back as Loki in "Thor: The Dark World" in late October/early November 2013. He will return to the Donmar Warehouse in December to play the title role in Shakespeare's "Coriolanus". His collaboration with Tilda Swinton in Jim Jarmusch's "Only Lovers Left Alive" will reach cinemas in Spring 2014.
Tom has been an active volunteer and supporter of UNICEF since 2013, when he traveled to Guinea in West Africa. He was able to visit multiple UNICEF projects, learning about their work in child protection, water and sanitation, and hunger and malnutrition.
