(Denny) Erin Cox, a high school senior in North Andover, Mass., received a phone call from a friend who had been drinking at a party and decided she was too drunk to drive and asked Erin to pick her up and drive her home. Cox, drove to the party, getting there moments before the police, who charged several teenagers with underage drinking. Cox, who is the Captain of the school's girl's volleyball team, was NOT charged, but school officals demoted her from her Captain's status and suspended her for 5 games saying she violated the school's zero-tolerance policy toward drugs & alcohol. Did the school do the right thing upholding it's policy, or is this another example of a zero-tolerance policy replacing common sense?
