My memory of #MargaretThatcher is wonderful. When I was a young White House reporter (pic) she came to the U.S. for a visit with President Reagan. During her exit press conference at Andrews Air Force base I was one of the reporters asking questions. Instead of yelling and jumping up and down, her press secretary had us raise our fingers to get called on.

I did just that several times and was finally rewarded a question. Mrs Thatcher turned her attention my way and despite my now calm BRITISH reporter demeanor she said- "yes, you, the young mahn dahncing on the end of his chahr!"

Politics aside she was a force of our times. A true leader. A class act. And I say that without British reserve.
