Day 7 of #MyOpenHeart challenge is Natarajasana, or Dancer's Pose!
I can't believe that it's already the final day of our challenge! Sharing this with all of you has been so special, and there will be more to come.
The relationships in my life are very important to me. Once someone enters my life in a big way, I will always do what I can to nurture that relationship. I don't walk away from people easily — almost to a fault.
Sometimes, it's necessary for people to enter your life, make an impact, and then exit. This doesn't mean that the time you spent together is any less meaningful.
Sometimes, you can put a lot of love and care into a relationship and it still doesn't go the way you hoped or planned. Allowing yourself to be open means allowing yourself to be vulnerable, and that means opening to the possibility of being hurt. All of this is worth it. The poor relationships will help you further appreciate the great ones, and every relationship helps you learn more about yourself.
I love that I approach opportunities with a full and open heart. I intend to do this always. It takes effort not to create walls when hurtful things happen. Make the effort.
Begin standing in Tadasana (Mountain Pose).
~ Engage your belly and lift your right knee into your chest.
~ Keeping your right knee bent, reach your right foot behind you, and find your right foot or ankle with your right hand. You can grip either the inside or outside of your right foot — your choice. Play around with each to see which feels best in your body.
~ Slide your shoulder blades down your back. Be especially mindful of your right shoulder blade, keeping it engaged on your back.
~ Kick your right foot into your right hand, helping you expand across your chest.
~ Extend your left arm out in front of you and hinge forward at the hips, tilting your torso toward the earth.
~ Breathe! Keep kicking your right for strongly into your right hand. Keep your belly engaged to protect your lower back.
~ When you're ready to release, stay super engaged throughout your body so your release is slow and steady.
~ Come back to Tadasana. Be sure to repeat on the left side!
