J/P HRO's Program and Organizational Development team—known in the office as POD— has been growing!
POD provides grant management support and maintains J/P HRO's high level of monitoring and evaluation.
Meet the team!
Dominique Charles, Program Development and Grant Management Manager joined the team in July 2013.
Mackenley Brice, a statistician joined the team 7 months ago to provide technical support to ensure data effectively collected and accurate. Grace Awantang, Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, has been working to develop and strengthen J/P HRO M&E systems from the ground up since October 2012.
For the first time, J/P HRO POD team has the good fortune to welcome a volunteer: Ghislaine Bayard. Indeed, Ghislaine is lending much needed support to the POD team, bringing with her experience and her passion for Haiti.
Baptiste Millet, leads the team as Program and Organizational Development Manager and joined J/P HRO 6 months ago. He ensures collaboration with all the other departments, while working to ensure that J/P HRO programs effective and innovative in understanding and accommodating specific community needs.
J/P HRO continues to help those displaced by the 2010 earthquake transition into permanent housing. Early in the morning of October 16th, J/P HRO started operations in two new camps with a census of the residents.
Today, October 15th is the Global Handwashing Day! We, at J/P HRO, celebrated throughout our various programs, spreading awareness about the importance of keeping your hands clean and hygienic.
J/P HRO staff take a quick break from the two day strategy workshop at Kaliko Beach for a team-building exercise. The teams attempted to be the first to race across the beach while keeping a balloon wedged between their backs. The workshop was aimed at guiding managers in better forming the strategies that will take the organization forward.
The Program Strategy Implementation workshop on October 7th and 8th at Kaliko Beach Club.
Congratulations to the Employee of the month for September 2014: Kendy André!
Kendy has worked for quite some time in the HR department, but has not been very visible for many of us until recently. I now see a young man who has grown a lot in the past few months, and has become far more visible. He shows confidence in the work he is doing, demonstrates customer service, and creates a good relationship between the HR department and others in the organisation. He is hard-working and cheerful. He is also demonstrating cross-cutting initiatives and ideas to promote the values of J/P HRO.

We, at #J/P HRO believe a quality education is every child’s right and the cornerstone of a promising future for Haiti. Check out these pictures of children enjoying some books at the #CDC's library.
