The Flag Day parade held on Saturday was breathtaking!
Fifteen schools together with the youth from Kay Kominote, marched with music bands around the Delmas 32 neighborhood. Blue and Red won the day as children waved the Haitian flag and danced in matching costumes.
Follow the parade yourself in our new picture album!
Today, August 29, 201 marks the close of operations in the Sinai Camp, located in Delmas 31. Sinai was the first internally displaced persons camp taken on by J/P HRO since closing the Petion-Ville Camp in January 2014. The 539 families that lived on this patch of land have all been relocated.
Emptied latrine holes are filled with concrete by masons from the community in preparation for the next stage of J/P HRO's PREKAD redevelopment project.
