Marc St Vil has been working with J/P HRO since the organization launched its relief operation in 2010. Mark is seen by his colleagues as an extraordinary, selfless person, who works tirelessly, without a break to ensure that the clinic is operating smoothly.
Marc started as a Triage Officer at the Pétionville Camp, and then was chosen to train for the Emergency Medical Team program. He was among the three first laureate as an EMT. Today, he is the radiology technician, and a dynamic and personable liaison officer between the medical staff and the patients.
“Marc has always put his heart and soul in the daily activities of J/P’s Medical Program,” says Dr. Micheline Baguidy, Medical Director. “His shift finishes at 4 pm, most days, yet he works long hours and never complaines. Sometimes, it will be past 10 p.m. and Marc is still on duty assisting with transfer at very far hospitals.
Marc is know for always being among the first on site when there is an accident. He supports and encourages his coworkers with a positive and optimistic attitude.His contributions to J/P are invaluable and we are lucky to have him in our J/P HRO family.
POTW: Students at J/P HRO's Ecole de l'Espoir receive instruction on electric keyboards on Wednesday, November 12. The music class is part of the ongoing Music Heals initiative through J/P HRO's Community Development Center. They are using the SUZUKI methodology as adapted by Little Kids Rock. The program will reach 60 school aged kids in the coming year.
Meet our employee of the month, Murielle Delice, who has started working with the organization on June 11th, 2011 as " Assistant to the Labor Management " within Engineering & Construction and has been promoted " Administrative Assistant. Murielle is the most quiet employee in J/P "a Hero behind the scene " who is handling all the administrative aspects of the E & C ongoing projects. Her contribution is very appreciated !

The Tabasamu Tooth Tour did a 3-day visit last week where they visited 12 schools in Delmas 32, trained 1400 students and teachers, and 70 community agents
J/P HRO continues to help those displaced by the 2010 earthquake transition into permanent housing. Early in the morning of October 16th, J/P HRO started operations in two new camps with a census of the residents.
