Today is illuminated as the world remembers the victims of the 2011 Magnitude 9.0 earthquake and subsequent tsunami on March 11, 2013. I took this shot in Sendai, where a ~30m (98ft) wave hit the beach completely destroying the once beautiful coastal community in the background [and miles and miles around the coast.]
Witnessing this no doubt changed my life. What's important. What's not. Loving and living life. Today is dedicated to those delicate 18,000 souls. My thoughts are with the families and friends left behind like my friend Sensei Kazumasu（一益) and his wife Yoko（陽). #japan #tsunamiremebrance #sendai
Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. -Proust
This Hau`oli `Ohana feeds my soul (and sometimes my belly)!
They are beautiful in their peace, they are wise in their silence. They will stand after we are dust. They teach us, and we tend them. - Galeain ip Altiem MacDunelmor [Poet speaking about trees...but I wonder if little humans might also fit that description?]
In the case of the Prince....the apple doesn't fall far from the tree...errr ocean.
Goooooooooooooood Morning. [she says to uncle]
This lil dude is hilarious. Cracks me up.
Pretty epic day at pipeline.
After a great day swimming at Waimea Falls with this little keiki she finally took a picture for Uncle.
Every time you wake up and ask yourself, What good things am I going to do today?, remember that when the sun goes down at sunset, it will take a part of your life with it.
Good night. Aloha po.
