My recent shoot was for Men's Fitness magazine. I was really flattered to be asked to do this as on a personal level it shows how far I have come with my fitness journey. Back when I was glamour modelling I was never allowed to train like I wanted to as those types of magazines didn't want the strong, athletic female look. They wanted the curvy, soft glamour look (rightly so too!) I had a blast with those magazines but when I put that part of my career behind me 5 years ago I was free to change my body as I pleased and feeling strong & healthy has ALWAYS been something I've wanted to achieve. Now I do, and its the best feeling ever! As well as being the face of USA PRO, Having my photos and interviews coming out in one of the leading fitness magazines makes me so happy & so proud! My will power, determination & dedication combined with regular ass kicking from my trainer Olly Foster & supplements from Reflex Nutrition have all played a part in my fitness journey, and you know what the most exciting thing for me is?
This is merely the beginning.... ;)
Stress relief... Something I've struggled with quite a bit is managing stress and switching off. I know everyone has there own issues & problems with work / home / relationships so we are not alone. I LOVE my job! It's a dream but I drive an 82 mile round trip daily, have to remember my lines all day, go through various makeup & costume changes, go from scene to scene which can be emotionally draining and then when home I have to learn my lines for the following day. Those are the "stress factors" in my job. My mums stress factors in her job are phones constantly ringing & having to work with numbers. My partners is having to be available on line 24/7 managing his business. Everyone has there own "stress factors" so please don't think I'm wanting sympathy! Lol! The point Im getting at is with training I've always been into the hardcore weights & Muay Thai. I've never been into yoga (tried but hated it) recently in work I've started stretching and breathing just for 10 mins in my dressing room in the morning to clear my head and prepare me for my day and the difference it's made to my mood & how I deal with things is crazy! So much so ive decided to try again with yoga and give it another chance to change my life. A girl on the show called Roxy is a Yogi and she seems to be so together and has such a good energy that it's made me want to try it too. I've realised that taking care of my body has been priority but I now need to add in taking take of my mind & soul. I'll let you know how I get on & if anyone has any yoga tips or recommendations Id be grateful!! 🙏
😤 😊 😩 😊 😔 all over the place today!
Those twatty couples who dress the same on holiday make me cringe....
What could possibly go wrong?
Behind the scenes on this mornings shoot. Such lovely dresses! One lucky lady 😊
LEFT PIC = poor diet, odd bit of cardio now and again, late nights & a love of one too many nights out boozing 😜 I looked okay but I felt so tired all the time & had very little energy. I was moody, emotional and my skin was dry. I also suffered from daily headaches. RIGHT PIC = Clean diet, weight training, still the odd bit of cardio but not so many late nights or nights out. I have so much more energy, my skin is glowing, I sleep great and I feel in an all around great mood 99% of the time 😊 although on the outside i looked like I didn't have much weight to loose, internally, my body wasn't as healthy as it could be & mentally I wasn't as happy as I could be. If Id of known then that by simply taking the time out to push my body, challenge myself and eat good food would have made me feel this way, I would have started way back! I've been training on & off for around 5 years but I've been training properly & eating clean (allowing myself the odd treat) for almost 2yrs and the benefits have been above and beyond. Both physically & mentally. I became a better version of ME, you can become the better version of YOU. Go & do it!!!!! Thanks @ollyfosterfitness for all your help, guidance & support. Here's to our next 8wk challenge! 👍
This chap @ollyfosterfitness is becoming my official roomie in a month... Eeeeek! Could go either way... I'm quiet messy 😜
