Ann Locklear Maples, age 74 formerly of Dalton, GA & resident of Clarkston, MI, & Los Angeles CA, beautiful spirit rose to heaven on Thursday, March 6, 2014 in California. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lura Locklear.
She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. She is survived by her 95 year old cherished father, A. W. Locklear of Dalton; loving daughter & grand-daughter, Marla Maples and Tiffany Trump, both of Los Angeles, CA; adoring fiancé Bob Whitton of Clarkston, MI; brother & sister-in-law, Dennis & Pat Locklear of Cohutta; nephews, Michael & Matt Locklear & wife Tamela; special great-nephews, Ethan & Tyler Locklear; former husband & friend in Christ, Stanley Maples of Cohutta & his loving daughter, Danielle Maples; & so many friends she held close to her heart. The celebration of Ann’s life will be held, Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Mullis & Pastor Shanon Hayes officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour at 4:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Ann Maples Memorial Fund, c/o Regions Bank, Dalton, GA.
Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be: Mike Locklear, Matt Locklear, Eva Murray, Steve Locklear, Gary Carter & Tamela Locklear. The Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. For more information, call 706-259-7455
