57th pick- Denver selects Arizona State QB Brock Osweiler. Most evaluators I talked to mentioned he can make all the throws and that he is a big time leader. Did mention he needs to tighten up his delivery and that his footwork was raw.
Osweiler committed to play basketball at Gonzaga at the end of his freshman year at Flathead High in Kalispell, Mont., and considering hitting the hardwood with the Sun Devils in 2010 when his football career was slow to take off. Osweiler switched his commitment from Gonzaga hoops to Arizona State football in April 2008, at the end of his junior year.
Osweiler becomes just the fourth Montana native to de drafted in into the NFL as a quarterback: Kevin Sweeney (Bozeman) was a seventh-round pick of Dallas in 1987; John Friesz (Missoula) was a sixth-round pick of San Diego in 1990; and Ryan Leaf (Great Falls) was a first-round pick of San Diego in 1998.
