Sarah Hyland shows off her comedic timing and acting prowess in ABC’s hit comedy “Modern Family.” As the oldest daughter in Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell’s family, Sarah highlights teenage angst at its best week after week, with her portrayal of ‘Haley Dunphy’. When she's not filming Modern Family, Hyland keeps busy with a number of new projects in the works. She was recently cast in “Struck by Lightening” written by Glee’s star Chris Colfer (he will star along with Allison Janney) as well as the Lionsgate Films “Gay Dude” which is a coming of age comedy in the vein of Superbad. This Fall she will star in the upcoming Disney Channel movie of the week “Geek Charming” which she stars opposite Matt Prokop (High School Musical 3).
Hyland is a multi-talented performer, working in film, TV, and Broadway since the age of four. Such notable work include roles in Howard Stern’s “Private Parts,” ABC’s “Annie,” Young Audrey in “The Audrey Hepburn Story,” as well as “Law and Order” and “Lipstick Jungle.” Last year, Sarah had been individually nominated for a 2010 Teen Choice Award in the Breakout Female Star category and her show Modern Family has been nominated for two Teen Choice Awards in Breakout Show & TV Show: Comedy. The show also won a 2010 Emmy Award for Best Comedy, and Writing. Recently, Hyland was named Top 25 Under 25: Young Hollywood’s Brightest Television Stars by MSN.
