5 Things You Didn't Know About Me

  • I was born in the South of France, in the ''singular island''.
  • I'm fluent in French,English and Spanish.
  • I am a former professional tennis player.
  • I sing.
  • I survived a car accident.

My name is Sarah, I was born and raised in the South of France where I studied piano at the music conservatory for ten years.I started dancing when I was four years old training in jazz and ballet. I have always been passionate about sports. When I was ten years old, I started playing tennis tournaments and I turned pro when I was sixteen. Playing tennis gave me the opportunity to travel all around the world and it prepared me mentally for my everyday life.
During a tennis tournament in Mexico City, I met an influential person in my life.A few months later I was auditioning for Televisa's presigious Drama conservatory ''el C.E.A'' in Mexico City. Six months after starting school,I was sick and forced to travel to France for treatments. On my way back from the hospital, while driving our car,my father fainted and It ended in a terrible car accident. The car was destroyed.I was transfered unconscious by helicopter, with multiple fractures and concussion. I stayed many hours in a coma.I have suffered atrociously.Tennis taught me that defeat is a part of life and how I should move on : I have lost most of the use of my right hand and had to learn how to use it differently. My right hand is an everyday challenge.
After going through 18 surgeries in 6 weeks I went through 3 years of physical therapy. During those years I went to study filmmaking in L.A and was invited for an internship on set with Jerry Zucker as a camera intern. I pursued my studies in theater in Paris at the prestigious ''Cours Florent''. I worked in different feature films,tv series and on stage. After 3 years,I felt ready and strong enough to go back to Mexico to finish what I had started.I graduated after 3 more years of studies at Televisa Drama School ''C.E.A'' .
I've learned, trained and worked as an actress in French and Spanish,so I continued in English.
I've been through a lot, I have suffered a lot . I've lost a hand but I feel lucky enough to have enough strength and energy to stand up and fight. I want, through my experience, to give courage and hope to those who like me have been through a car accident, when you think everything is over, life will give you another chance to live.
My ultimate ambition, after the professional one, is to help others by creating a foundation, for hands injury, which will help injured people to find the desire to be alive, to build a new life. That help will come from a financial support for the payment of their prosthetic hands which are very, very expensive. I want through my image as an actress, to give a message of hope for those who are victims of car accidents.
I am a citizen of the World.
