Rachel Spencer Hewitt Snapshot
Rachel Spencer Hewitt was born in San Antonio, Texas to a Brazilian mother and American father. She entered Trinity University in San Antonio on a prestigious Baker-Duncan Theater Scholarship and then graduated from the Yale School of Drama MFA Acting program and is the recipient of the Pierre Andre-Salim award. She currently lives and creates in New York City. Since receiving her Master’s of Fine Arts in Acting from Yale, Rachel has booked consistently, performing all over the world, from Maggie in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof at the English Theater of Vienna in Austria, to her up-coming NY debut off-Broadway in Paula Vogel’s new piece “A Civil War Christmas” directed by Tina Landau. She also is starring with John Rhys-Davies in the upcoming independent feature film Return to the Hiding Place.
