December 20, 2012Where is the Cetacean Death Star the Nisshin Maru? - Commentary by @CaptPaulWatson RT!

Strangely enough - still in Japan. Today we could track the Nisshin Maru as it left Innoshima, Japan. It went out a few miles and then returned. Examining the course pattern we can see that this is a routine sea trial. It appears that the vessel was not cleared for sea. Perhaps tomorrow it may be depending on the results of the sea trial. The recent refit of the factory ship was very hasty and problems could have occurred. At this rate the whalers cannot possible reach the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary until January 12th at the earliest. They have never left this late in the season and even if we were not down here to meet them, they would only be able to get half their kill quota. When they do arrive our ships will be there to intercept them.
