St. Louis can take credit for the world’s first ice cream cone, formed by Ernest Hamwi in 1904 at the Worlds Fair. St. Louis can also take credit for an equally delicious treat known as Nikki Boyer, an Emmy winning local TV host who made the move to Los Angeles and can currently be seen daily as the host Yahoo!’s Daytime in No Time.
Most recently, Nikki can be seen in the viral video parody of the FUN song, "We're Not Young" which has reached nearly 2.6 million hits within a 2 week period. Nikki lends her vocals as well as her ability to morph into characters… such as Janelle Monae.
Before becoming the face of the internet’s most watch daily web show, garnering over 500 million streams to date, Boyer became an angel for women everywhere in America as the host of TLC’s popular ambush show Perfect Proposal, where she helped men plot how to pop the question. Shortly after the series wrapped, Boyer landed a co-host position alongside John Henson for the TV Guide Network’s Watch This, giving Boyer the opportunity to interview television stars about the latest scoop on their series. Nikki’s success with getting celebrities to dish things they probably shouldn’t, landed her double duty for the TV Guide Network, serving as a red carpet correspondent for the Live Award Show coverage.
Between hosting gigs, Boyer maintains an acting career with appearances in 90210, Lie to Me, The L Word, According to Jim, Malcolm in the Middle, So NoTORIous and as a sketch comedy player or The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson as well as starring in the film, “Coyote County Loser” and “Jesus People”.
While Boyer appears on Yahoo! Daily, she can also be seen next to The Tonight Show intern Ross Mathews as a recurring co-captain of his regular video blog.
Staying true to her internet following, Boyer is launching a new late night talk show for the web called Midnight Snack with Nikki B, a project that can be best described as the lovechild of Pee Wee’s Playhouse and 20/20, with a dash of your favorite Food Network delight. Midnight Snack is slated to premiere online in Summer 2012.
Boyer is also the front woman of the band, “The Cardboard Cutouts”. The alternative pop duo trades off on lead vocals incorporating cello, piano and male/female vocals. They are currently touring Southern California.
