Michael Castner Snapshot
Michael Castner is a national radio talk host interviewing the political leaders who shape our nation, innovators who change our world and entertainers who make us laugh, cry or sing horribly out of tune. His podcasts are available through SoundCloud.com, the Sound Cloud app or at www.michaelcastner.com .

Most recently he hosted The Daily Wrap from the Wall Street Journal Radio Network. The program was broadcast on over 80 radio station daily from New York City and was heard coast to coast.

Castner hosted the WRNO Morning Show on WRNO FM in New Orleans and the afternoon show on Newsradio 1150 WJBO in Baton Rouge. Before the move to Louisiana, Castner was the host of Bonneville International's Nightside Project. The show originated from Salt Lake City, Utah. Michael was heard week nights on KSL News Radio in Salt Lake, KTAR in Phoenix and Talk Radio 3WT in Washington DC.

Michael's career has spanned the spectrum of news, entertainment and politics. He came to Nightside from KFI, the number one news/talk radio station in Los Angeles. Prior to that Michael was a host on the E! Channel. During the 14 years he aired on E! Michael covered the red carpet and hosted his own talk show. Michael joined E! after a stint as London bureau chief for Entertainment Tonight. He covered the White House and State Department for Tribune Broadcasting and then went on to serve as press adviser to then congressional candidate Joseph P. Kennedy II. Castner not only talks about the issues, but he gets involved. In 2008, while in Utah, Castner pushed for what he called “The Puppy Torture” bill, making animal abuse a felony statewide. Castner received a standing ovation on the floor of the Utah Senate for his efforts to get the bill passed. It was signed into law by Gov. Jon Huntsman, Jr. More recently, on WRNO-FM Castner hosted a series of shows on cyber-bullying. This led Castner to ask for a law addressing the issue in Louisiana schools. After Castner testified before House and Senate committees the bill passed unanimously. It was signed into law by Governor Bobby Jindal. Most recently Castner persuaded Washington Governor Chris Gregoire to send a letter to New Jersey Governor Chris Christy detailing her change of opinion on marriage equality.
