Matthew Diffee's photo: CAPTION CONTEST WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT: This contest was interesting. It was closer to the kind of work I actually do everyday than just the typical write-what-the-character-is-saying kind of thing. I think we found out who the hardcore captionists were this week. I’m gonna be brief here and just announce the winner. I’ll go back and “like” and comment on some others in the original post. We’ll see how that works. Okay, the winner is… Alex Caldwell with: Book title: "War and Peace" Caption: (Ventriloquist to dummy) "Are you almost done? I have a cramp in my hand." I like the idea that a "Dummy" would have to mouth the words in order to read. A lot of people had good funny book titles, but I didn't think they addressed the dummy situation in the drawing as well as this one did. As always, the winner will get the original drawing in the mail with his jokes drawn/written in. I’ll post my original gag tomorrow. Thanks for playing.
