With more than 20 years of successful artistic experience, Luis Enrique, is without a doubt, the most prominent Nicaraguan singer/songwriter of all times. With 3 Latin Grammy Awards, an American Grammy, 4 Premio Lo Nuestro, 4 Latin Billboard Awards, 2 Premios Ronda as well and many more recognitions he is one of the most respected artist in the Latin entertainment industry. Better know as "El Príncipe de la Salsa”, this versatile musician is considered one of the best percussionists in Latin music.
After becoming the most revolutionary figure of salsa in the early 80’s and with numerous productions to his name, Luis Enrique released the acclaimed albums “Ciclos” (2009) & “Soy Y Seré” (2011), produced by renowned producer Sergio George, achieving an impressive and immediate success not only in the U.S. but in Latin America, Europe and the Caribbean as well. The hit song “Yo No Sé Mañana” leads the 2009 musical project and gave Luis Enrique a place of preference among the public, colleagues and the industry in general.
His live performances, have reached many corners of the world presenting sold out tours in Europe, USA, Central America, South America & Mexico.
Luis Enrique has also become a forceful figure in the struggle for immigrant rights. He was recently part of the annual conference of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, where he had the opportunity to address President Barack Obama and express his thoughts and concerns regarding the issue of immigration in USA.
In 2013, Luis Enrique participated in Broadway’s production Forever Tango; a production, which includes 16 tango dancers, one vocalist and an 11-piece orchestra that featured the debut of the Nicaraguan singer into the world of Broadway.
