When she was asked to cover the lunch program at Ecole de l'Espoir, she found 430 kids benefitting from a nutritious, hot meal and a story that resonated deeply with her own personal experience. "I immediately knew I had to do a video diary about this story. I saw myself at school as a kid, when I was hungry, knowing how hard it was to get through the day, when some kids had food, and I didn't. It makes learning almost impossible. I see these kids now, I see that they are happy, because they have food, they have also reclaimed their childhood."
