November 5, 2012Try this simple side dish: Sesame Green Beans. Cook 1 lb. fresh green beans until al dente (steam or simmer in a small amount of water). Heat a large skillet coated w/ oil spray over medium heat. Add 2 cloves minced garlic, green beans, 1 tsp toasted sesame oil, and 1 TB lower-sodium soy sauce. Saute for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and immediately toss w/ optional 1 TB whole wheat bread crumbs (or Panko breadcrumbs) and/or 1 TB toasted sesame seeds.
