August 8, 2012Try this yummy "Dessert For Breakfast" -- Peach Cobbler Oatmeal! Bring 1 3/4 cups skim milk (water, soy or almond milk work great too) to a gentle simmer in a medium saucepan. Add 1/2 cup steel cut oats and simmer over low heat for 20-25 mins or until tender. Divide oatmeal into 2 bowls and top each bowl with 1/2 chopped peach, 1 TB raisins, 1 TB toasted walnuts & few dashes of cinnamon. Makes 2 servings; 1 serving = 325 cals, 8g fat (1g sat fat), 52g carb, 6g fiber, 14g protein, 90mg sodium
