December 30, 2011Here's a quick and easy whole grain side dish to add to your repertoire: Bulgur with Sauteed Mushrooms & Onions. First, prepare 1 cup quick-cooking bulgur (I used Bob's Red Mill brand) with 2 cups boiling water according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute sliced button mushrooms & chopped onions in oil spray over medium heat. Season the vegetables with kosher salt, pepper & garlic powder to taste. Add the cooked bulgur and saute for a few more minutes until everything is hot.
