John Alieu Carew was born on 6th September 1979 in Lørenskog, Norway and in the last 13 years has played top-flight football in his home country, Spain, Italy, Turkey, France and England. John has made 427 club appearances, scoring 150 goals while he is the fifth highest capped player of all time for Norway, making 88 appearances and contributing 23 goals.
John currently splits his time between his homes in London and Oslo.
Living life on his own terms is an important mantra for John, but he values his family above everything else and likes to spend quality time back home with them in Norway whenever he can.
John is also a committed Christian and dedicated contributor to youth and hospital charities both in the UK and Norway. And now, with the launch of his own charitable foundation in Gambia, John is at the forefront of nurturing and protecting young footballing talent in his father's home country.
