Gregory de la Haba

Tell Gregory de la Haba you like this

September 18, 2012Epic day yesterday. First was the luncheon with Michael Anderson, Noah Becker and Emerald Fitzgerald at the Red Rooster in Harlem, plotting and planning for Art Basel Miami. Then we saw legendary documentary film maker Albert Maysles sitting at the bar, solo. So we start talking to him and he invites us all back to his place to watch movies and clips from Cuba in the 1950's, Marlon Brando in 1964, Mississippi in the 1990's. Epic I say! The evening came to an end, for me, hanging with Luc Sante, author of Low Life, one of the most provocative books about urban life ever written and at the most storied saloon in the U.S. of A., McSorleys Old Ale House.
