Elissa Sursara is a wildlife expert, journalist and National Geographic News Watch contributor working on behalf of endangered species, threatened habitats and all animals in crisis.
Collaborating with some of the world's top environmental advocacy organisations, Elissa builds political, scientific and social support for important species and their habitats.
She is a two time Antarctica crew member for the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, and the ambassador for the the WWF's Earth Hour, 1% for the Planet and Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors, among other organizations.
Elissa acts as a spokesperson for a number of environmental issues affecting wildlife, including deforestation, climate change and poaching.
