07 April 2011 Crazy day yesterday. We just went AT it. We got EIGHT SONGS yesterday. Crazy. 7-man bands do NOT get 8 songs in 1 day. I had us just run EVERYTHING 3 times on Sunday w/o worrying about getting THE track. You play & u fuck up but u remember. We worked new stuff Mon-Tues, then came back last night and just destroyed 8 full songs last night. Fucking on fire.

22 February 2011 "You Might Think" is playing. God, the sad ridiculousness, standing so upright, so smartly dressed while a shower of blood & breaking hearts falls around you. It's easy to forget, hearts are so much more fragile than we are. They're the ones shattering, after all. The umbrella holds & you stand like something untouchable.

17 March 2011 Fell asleep at 7AM. Woke @11:10 to the ring of a conf call I was already 10min late for, my dull brain couldn't comprehend anything anyone said. Ugh. Then I showered, walked out the door into the Texas sunlight, a breeze blew by, I watched Mean Creek, Kasey Anderson & The Honkies, and now The Pain of Being Pure At Heart all play really great music. Ahhh. Forgot how the OD of great music cures
