From 1993-98, she studied at The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts. She would later prove that creating custom artwork for her clients, was that personal touch her audience was craving. While in college, she studied briefly with French Designer, Madame Kuony where she developed her love for French Design. A strong eye for color, detail, textiles, and perfection was dramatically enhanced. It was at that time in her life she discovered her love for Interior Design. At the age of 20, she received her first Design contract - designing and decorating a 3500 square foot loft in downtown Milwaukee.
In 2003, her love for the camera emerged. An Interior Designer with a love for the lens, Carriann Johnson made design television her new home. From 2005 – 2008, she appeared on HGTV’s “My First Place,” as well as hosting shows for PBS and Vail TV in Colorado. Carriann continually works on growing her own business, a full-service Interior Design firm in Colorado, where she has resided since 2001.
Most recently, can you find her on HGTV’s “Bang For Your Buck.” She has proven balancing her television career and working on anything creative comes naturally. When Carriann is not in front of the camera, she is working on her very own product line, “The At Home Collection” by Carriann offered at Select Blinds.com.
When she’s not working, she’s spending time outdoors, motorcycling, playing tennis, woodworking, running, and being with (the apples of her eyes), her Shih Tzu’s, Diesel and Elmo. For more information on Carriann Johnson, visit www.carriannarkowski.com
