The Sochi 2014 Olympics come to a close this weekend, and with that, we bring you the final edition of Russian Word of the Day with Summer Sanders.

During her more than two weeks at the Olympics games, Summer has taught us 15 simple and practical Russian words, along with their English translation and pronunciation, which we’ve compiled into Your Sochi 2014 Russian Dictionary.

Ice hockey player and Olympic medalist Julie Chu, who took home the silver at this year's games, has been chosen by Team USA to be the flag bearer during the closing ceremonies. In honor of the event, which will take place on Sunday, February 23, Summer’s 16th Russian Word of the Day couldn’t be more fitting: “closing ceremony,” or церемония закрытия, which is pronounced “tsere-moni-ya za-kry-tiya.”

Thanks for the Russian lessons, Summer! See the video of Summer's lesson below, and click here to see Summer’s entire Russian Dictionary.
