As the action winds down on the 7th day of the Sochi Olympics, Summer Sanders is warming us up for tomorrow's competition with another "Russian Word of the Day!"

The former competitive swimmer and Olympic medalist is covering all of the action in Sochi for NBCOlympics.com, and sharing her experiences on WhoSay. Yesterday, she taught us a simple, everyday phrase: “Good day,” meaning “good morning” or “have a good day,” добрый день, which is pronounced “dob-bray dyen.”

Today, in honor of her name (and to remind us of better and brighter times), Summer teaches us a familiar Russian word: "summer," лето, which is pronounced "la-ti."
