Will Channing Tatum Direct "Magic Mike 2"?

And will Matthew McConaughey co-write the script?

Fans of Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey rejoice: "Magic Mike 2," the sequel to the 2012 film loosely based on Channing's experience as an exotic dancer, is in the works.

Channing announced the big news by posting this photo with the caption, "What better way to start writing #MagicMike2 than with my old friend Dallas? #runatribe."

And, in case you were wondering, "Magic Mike 2" will be even better than the first. "Yes, yes and yes! We're working on the concept now. We want to flip the script and make it bigger," Channing said last year when asked about a potential sequel.

Channing, who said "Magic Mike 2" would be "crazy and fun and less slice-of-life and less drama," could also direct the film either by himself or with help of his producing partner Reid Carolin, who worked closely with director Soderbergh during the first film.
