Thanksgiving wouldn’t be complete without a slice (or three) of pumpkin pie after a gluttonous day of feasting. But when you’re already busy roasting your turkey and cooking all the fixings, making pies for a crowd can be a daunting and time-consuming task. Luckily, Gail Simmons appeared on Good Morning America last week to share an ingenious fix for busy home chefs, courtesy of Food & Wine.

These pumpkin, pecan, and zesty lemon-cranberry pie bars are a fast and easy way to make dessert for a large group of people. The foolproof press-in crust fits easily in a large sheet pan and can accommodate any type of filling. When it’s done baking, all you have to do is slice and serve, leaving you more time to enjoy the festivities with your loved ones. Now that’s something to be thankful for.
