How Angelina Jolie Honored Her Late Mother at Her WeddingPaying Tribute
The actress reveals how the family remembered her mom during her wedding to Brad Pitt, in Correns, France.
There's no question that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's wedding at their estate, Château Miraval, in Correns, France, was a specatular and romantic event. It was most certainly a full-fledged family affair, with all of their six children taking part.
But the kids weren't the only family members who became an essential part of what made this day so special. Jolie and her brother James Haven made sure to pay tribute to their late mother, Marcheline Bertrand, pictured below, during the ceremony as well. Bertrand died in 2007 after a long battle with ovarian cancer.
In an interview with People magazine, Jolie reveals that Pitt had a dedication to Bertrand engraved inside the chapel where they stood and said their, "I do's." In addition to the engraving, Jolie and her brother wore jewelry that had belonged to their mom: a little flower ring for Jolie, and an angel pin for Haven.
There is no doubt that Bertrand's presence was felt by everyone in attendance on that very special day.
