Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez got together to make a super adorable and not-so-scientific supermoon video. Complete with Swift’s very detailed retelling (amidst many giggles), we’ve learned that there are coyotes howling under the very bright, blurry image in the sky. So what makes the moon so super? The supermoon is, essentially, a coincidence that occurs when the full moon or a new moon is the closest it will get to Earth during its elliptical orbit, making it seem massive and enchanting.

Swift and Gomez were also totally amazed at how the animal kingdom does actually howl at the moon.

Swift says in a somewhat spooky voice, “What you are witnessing, actually hearing, is coyotes freaking out over a full moon. I didn't know that was a real thing. I thought it was just a wolf thing."

We love how excited those two got. It’s great to see them, despite their busy schedules, taking time out to appreciate the simple things, like, you know, supermoons and creepy animal noises.
