Why Kaley Cuoco Doesn’t Mind Being Typecast

role of a lifetime

Kaley Cuoco would love to explore new roles just as much as she loves playing Penny on “Big Bang Theory.” Here’s why.

Kaley Cuoco, star of “Big Bang Theory” (which is on its eighth season!), isn’t really afraid of being typecast, she told Women’s Health Magazine. While many actors and actresses might see this as a career curse, Cuoco is looking on the bright side:

“I will take any role anyone will hire me on… I was telling someone last night, people always say, ‘oh my god you’re going to be type cast’ and if I really was type cast as Penny or the girl next door it would be the greatest thing in the world, then I have a job forever playing that,” she explained.

We understand that mentality: If it ain’t broke, why fix it? She knows that role so well.

She continued, “That is kind of how I look at it, if this is what I do forever fine, but I’ll try and do as many things as possible and experience the whole world of acting, as silly as that sounds, but I love all aspects of it but comedy is definitely number one.”

We also love how excited Cuoco was to be the Women’s Health cover girl. She shared that happiness via Instagram:

Season 8 of “The Big Bang Theory” premieres on September 22 8 p.m. EST.
