The "Will & Grace" supporting player is front-and-center in his new sitcom, "Sean Saves the World," and judging from his posts, he couldn't be happier about helming this exciting project. The show centers on Sean, a single gay dad suddenly tasked with raising his 14-year-old daughter well, while dealing with his overbearing mother and micromanaging boss.

Sean has been filming episodes for the upcoming season, sharing the screen with other comedy heavyweights like Thomas Lennon ("Reno 911") and Linda Lavin ("Alice"), and calls the results "some of the funniest scenes [he has] ever worked on in a sitcom."

Tune in October 3 for the premiere on NBC, and enjoy this look back at the shooting process. Hayes acted in, edited, and promoted his pilot—he's the star now, and he's putting in the work to back it up.
