To pique our interest in Jake Gyllenhaal's latest movie, "Nightcrawler," Open Roads Films released a teaser featuring Gyllenhaal as Lou Bloom, selling himself as a hard-working would-be employee on the job hunt. But get this—the clip was originally released via a fake Craigslist ad, posted by Gyllenhaal's character. Creepy.

"Nightcrawler" tells the story of Bloom, a driven young journalist who gets caught up in the crimes on which he's reporting. The film also features Bill Paxton, Rene Russo, and Riz Ahmed, and is produced by Jennifer Fox, Tony Gilroy (the "Bourne" series), and Jake Gyllenhaal, among others.

And even if you're not discovering it on Craigslist, you can find out about Lou Bloom and his quest for success in the first full trailer, below:

"Nightcrawler" began filming in 2013, but it doesn't have a release date yet. Let's just hope that these enticing previews are a good sign that more news is on the way.
