While fans of Benedict Cumberbatch patiently bide their time until Season 4 of “Sherlock,” they won’t have to wait until 2016 to get their next Cumber-fix: The dreamboat is set to star as brilliant British mathematician Alan Turing in “The Imitation Game.”

Directed by Norwegian filmmaker Morten Tyldum, “The Imitation Game” is a historical biopic that spans the duration of Alan Turing’s remarkable life, focusing specifically on his efforts to crack the complex German Enigma code during the darkest days of WWII.

Co-starring Keira Knightley as cryptanalyst Joan Clarke, the film also touches upon Turing’s post-war conviction for his homosexuality—a gross betrayal by the government he helped to protect.

Catch Benedict, Kiera, Matthew Goode, and Tywin Lannister Charles Dance in the action-packed trailer below:

“The Imitation Game” will premiere in U.K. theaters on November 14, 2014 and in U.S. theaters on November 21, 2014.
