If we may borrow from “Breaking Bad’s” ever-succinct Jesse Pinkman: “Yeah, Mr. White! Yeah, science!”

In an awesome science-meets-pop-culture moment, a team from second-screen app Tvtag strapped a Walter White bobblehead onto a balloon, hit record on the accompanying video camera, and sent the entire thing floating off into space.

Why? It’s simple, really. “TV characters are pretty cool, but it’d be cooler to see them in space,” Tvtag’s marketing director Johnny Galbraith told BuzzFeed.

Galbraith says the idea first came to light during a company hackathon when the non-tech employees also wanted something to do. Tvtag then held a poll, and in the end, 6,000 voters chose Bryan Cranston’s meth-cooking alter ego to be the one who knocks—er, goes into space first. The runner-ups: “Walking Dead” fan favorite Daryl Dixon and “Game of Thrones’” mother of dragons, Daenerys Targaryen.

The bobblehead’s successful journey began in Utah’s Goblin Valley State Park, where it was launched, and ended six hours later—and 250 miles away—in Wyoming.

The folks at AMC loved that their resourceful Mr. White had reached new heights, tweeting: “Up, up, and away! Heisenberg is on the hunt for a new territory to own, thanks to @tvtag.”

Could Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman be next?

Never say never! After all, Galbraith told BuzzFeed, there are plans to send more bobbleheads into the heavens.
