Because we couldn’t possibly imagine David Lynch’s 1989 cult-classic “Twin Peaks” getting any weirder, artist Justin Lawrence DeVine had to go and prove us wrong.

DeVine took to his watercolor set to portray a series of “Twin Peaks” characters recast as creepy Muppets. Yes, you read that correctly.

Playing Agent Dale Cooper is a coffee-drinking Kermit, while Laura Palmer is depicted by a plastic-wrapped, blue-skinned Miss Piggy. And then there’s a toothy, wild-looking Animal sitting in for Bob. It’s all very weird, and really well done, we think.

These watercolors come at the right time, considering fans can buy the entire “Twin Peaks” collection on Blu-Ray July 29, 2014. You can take a look at the rest on his blog or on InPrnt, where DeVine is selling prints of the awesomely spooky portratures.

What do you think about the series?
