Naomi Foner Gyllenhaal—also known as mom to Maggie and her brother Jake Gyllenhaal—has made her directorial debut with “Very Good Girls.” The film, which will be released in theaters on July 25, tells the coming-of-age tale of two New York City girls who make a pact to lose their virginity before summer’s end.

Maggie was so excited to see her director mom’s film advertised that she snapped and shared this photo with her fans on WhoSay:

The movie stars Dakota Fannning, Elizabeth Olsen, Boyd Holbrook, and Ellen Barkin—with Richard Dreyfus and Demi Moore making appearances. Peter Sarsgaard, Maggie’s husband, appears in the film, too.

We love how excited Maggie is about her mom’s film! Clearly a lot of talent runs in the Gyllenhaal family.
