Ah, the perfect romatic teen dramedy. Boy meets girl. Boy and girl fall in love. Boy and girl find out they are actually related.

Wait, what?

MTV's scandalous new series "Happyland" takes a definitive twist on the normal teenage TV show. The program—which is reminiscent of "Adventureland," but with a disturbing twist—follows two teens falling in love while they work together at an amusement park. However, as we learned in the trailer, instead of living happily ever after, the two find out that they are, in fact, brother and sister.

Even before the trailer was released, the show's twist has incited a bunch of controversy. During a Q&A session at the TCA Summer Press Tour, the press wondered in the show was edgy or just downright disturbing. But the cast sticks with it. "Happyland" star Bianca Santos announced, ”incest is hot, and we’re going to have fun!"

We aren't sure if the show will turn out more like "Arrested Development" or "Flowers in the Attic," but either way, we can't help but be sucked into the soap opera-esque plot.
