Here's probably the weirdest piece of news you will read all day: "Cats," the famous Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, is going hip-hop. 

Yes, you read that right. Your favorite early '80s musical based off T.S. Eliot's "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats" is getting a modern makeover for its newest West End revival. Why? Because it can.

The musical will transform Rum Tum Tugger into a rebellious street cat with a penchant for hip-hop. Lloyd Webber decided to tweak his style, because he believes it will stay truer to the original story.

"I've come to the conclusion that...maybe Eliot was the inventor of rap," he explained

OK, so now picture this, but, you know, in rap form:

 What's next? A dubstep version of "Memory"?
