Human Beings, rejoice! #SixSeasonsAndAMovie is about to come true.

Yahoo has saved Greendale Community College and resurrected the beloved NBC sitcom "Community" for a sixth season. NBC canceled the Dan Harmon single-cam comedy after its fifth season ended in May.
Harmon and stars Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jim Rash, and Ken Jeong will all be back for Season 6 to fufill part of the the hashtagged prophecy.

"We can't promise a 'Community' movie, but thanks to one Human Being-loving company (ahem, that's Yahoo), 'Community' will be getting revived for a sixth season, set to premiere this Fall on Yahoo Screen," Yahoo wrote in its announcement.

Hulu toyed with the idea bringing back Jeff, Annie, Britta, Shirley, and Co. earlier this summer before ultimately passing on the show. Yahoo will release all 13 episodes of "Community's" 6th season in 2015, perfect for binge-watching.

In addition to that tweet, McHale said, "‘The reports of our cancellation have been greatly exaggerated.’ #SixSeasonsAndaMovie is real. Thank you Sony. Thank you Yahoo. Thank you Dan Harmon.  And thank you to the greatest f%$#ing fans in the history of the human race. It’s the internet. We can swear now."

"Community" has had an up-and-down run recently. Creator and executive producer Harmon left and was rehired after a lackluster fourth season, stars Chevy Chase and Donald Glover left, and  then Greendale's future was left very uncertain after a return-to-form fifth season.

"I am very pleased that Community will be returning for its predestined sixth season on Yahoo," Harmon said. "I look forward to bringing our beloved NBC sitcom to a larger audience by moving it online. I vow to dominate our new competition. Rest easy, 'Big Bang Theory.' Look out, 'BangBus'!"

We are beyond thrilled the show is coming back and can't wait to see what the Greendale gang will be up to in 2015!
