Selfies have officially taken over the world.

Over the past few years, people worldwide have embraced the art of selfies, and now even famous politicians show their love of viral photography. The most recent case of this comes from singer Katy Perry, who Instagramed a selfie with Vice President Joe Biden on her Washington, D.C. trip. The result was totally adorable.

With the picture, she wrote "Brought my pink pony to the White House to holler @VP Joe Biden. #wheninwashington p.s. He made me call my 93 year old grandma to thank her for my baby blue eyes! What a Q-T."

Perry was also lucky enough to snap a picture with Hillary Clinton last week, saying that she would write the politician a "theme song" if she wanted it. Yeah, it was a majestic.

Now if only she can get one with Obama.

Here's a collection of other celebs who have posed in selfies with famous politicians.

Recreating Ellen's infamous Oscars selfie, Jimmy Kimmel took a selfie with the Clinton clan.

Emma Thompson and British reality TV star Joey Essex snapped a shot with British Labour Party politician Ed Miliband.

Baseball player David Ortiz took a (slightly controversial) picture with President Obama.
